Exhibition of Canadian Businesses and enterprises at Ontario-Jiangsu Science and Technology Centre
Conference on Investment Environment of Lishui County, Jiangsu Province' was held in Hilton Hotel, Toronto on August 18, 2002. Ontario-Jiangsu Friendship Association took the full responsibility for organizing the Conference.
The Delegation sought doing business with Canadian enterprises and entrepreneurs in a variety of forms and brought with it 16 categories of investment projects worth of US$1.25 billion.
Entrusted by Nanjing Municipal Government, Ontario-Jiangsu Friendship Association, in collaboration with Toronto Chinese Business Council, East-Toronto Business Council, Scarborough & York Chinese Business Council and Chinese Chamber of Business in Canada, successfully organized the 'Conference on Investment Environment of Nanjing' from June-July, 2006. MP Mr. Wajid Khan, Consul General of Chinese Consulate-General in Toronto, Ms. Chen Xiaoling, Mr. John Langley from Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ontario attended and spoke at the Conference.
The Delegation focused on the investment environment of Nanjing Hi-tech Development Zone, Nanjing Jiangning Economic Development Zone and Nanjing Chemical Industry Park. It sought cooperation in 67 projects of 13 categories. This conference has become an important platform for Toronto enterprises to seek business opportunities in China. Over 120 businesses and enterprises from Toronto attended the Conference with great interest.
