Ontario-Jiangsu Friendship Association strives to promote cultural and educational exchanges between China and Canada, especially in the cultural and educational exchanges between Ontario and Jiangsu provinces.
Recently, the Ontario - Jiangsu Friendship Association Assistant Li Jing made a special trip to the Canadian National Park Bureau Bethune Memorial Hall to donate a painting by the Jiangsu painter Pei Annian. Scott Davidson, Canada's Bethune Memorial Hall, on behalf of the Canadian National Parks Council, accepts the painting of Bethune's theme.
Mr. Pei Annian is a famous painter in China's Jiangsu Province. He joined the friendly delegation to Toronto and visited Toronto in February 2016 during China Lunar New. In order to express his high respect for the doctor of Bethune, he personally created a Chinese painting "internationalist warrior Norman Bethune".
Mr. Pei Annian said that Bethune was a Canadian internationalist whom he knew since his childhood and gave a valuable life for the liberation of the Chinese people. This is something we can never forget. So at the time decided to go to Canada, he first thought is to draw a picture of Bethune, to present on him own to the Memorial Hall of Bethune. Unfortunately, due to the trip is too tight, Mr. Pei regretted not personally to Bethune's hometown of Gravenhurst, commissioned by the Ontario - Jiangsu Friendship Association representatives, in October 11, 2016 this painting dedicated to Bethune Memorial Hall.
