With “Water” at the core, the Exhibition comprises four sections: (I) A Land of Water: History; (II) A Land of Water: Beauty; (III) A Land of Water: Prosperity: (IV) A Land of Water: Natural Resources. From different angles, the photos highlight the charm and vitality of Jiangsu with its unique landscape of rivers, lakes and sea coastline as well as great potential for growth. The Exhibition intends to serve as a window to Jiangsu and a bridge to connect the people of the twinning provinces – Ontario and Jiangsu.
The Exhibition is co-organized by Jiangsu Overseas Exchange Association and Ontario-Jiangsu Friendship Association (OJFA), a non-profit organization officially registered in Ontario in 2000. Over the years OJFA has engaged in strengthening ties between Ontario and Jiangsu by promoting cooperation and exchanges in economy, science, culture, education, health and law. While the “Charming Jiangsu” Photography Exhibition brings Jiangsu to Ontario, Dr. Julia Li, President of OJFA encourages Ontarians to visit and invest in Jiangsu. She believes that the twinning relationship between the two provinces entered in 1985 has opened up a huge space for cooperation and borne fruits. Adhering to dialogue, exchange and cooperation will bring greater development and prosperity to both provinces.
